Further Updates on my Visa
The Brazilian lawyer is going to Brasilia to find out what is going on with my visa. There are other missionaries who are waiting as well for this same visa. Please be in prayer for all of our visas. The INS of Brazil has had my paperwork since July according to the Brazilian lawyer.

Psalm 63
The lady who is supposed to approve my visa should be back from her vacation this week. I hope to hear an update on my visa in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, my FBI check is in process again and I have contacted Southeastern. I am getting my 2 original, certified diplomas! Praise God! One is for me and one is for the Brazilian government. I love Psalm 63:1-8. This was my quiet time today. It states it better than I ever could. It says, "O God, You are my God: I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.
God, you are my refuge and I thank-you for Your protection! I will sing praise for the rest of my life and I will seek You for the rest of my life. Praise You, Almighty Father! Amen!

FBI check and Prayer
Yesterday, I went to my local police department to get my fingerprints done for another FBI check because my other one expired because the Brazilian government could not process my visa. My background check was only good for only 90 days. Pray that my prints go through. I have difficult time getting clear, readable prints. I have had to have it done several times lately.
Also, I am contacting Southeastern to get some original, certified copies of my diploma.
Please pray for other appointed missionaries who are also going through the visa process. Some of them have also been delayed in going to Brazil.
God, you are truly a miracle worker. I know that you can do anything! All I want to do is to serve YOU! I am praying that you will open doors and that you break and mold me into Your Will. Break the hearts of the Brazilians, so that they may receive Your Grace and Forgiveness. Prepare the Way, Oh Lord! Amen!

Thank-you God and thank-you for your prayers!
I praise you God for being faithful and for teaching me patience! I also want to thank-you all for your prayers. They have been felt and they have been a great comfort to me these last few months. I am so blessed to work along some great friends and family. May His gospel spread rapidly! Amen!

I wasn't successful at the Consulate
Okay, Okay Lord I get it you don't want me in Brazil yet. You still have things to teach me. I thank-you for teaching me about myself and how you are conforming me into Your likeness. So my mom and I braved the DC traffic again to find out what was going on with my visa at the Brazilian Consulate. I was the third person in line. So I went in at 2pm and I didn't have to wait long to be seen. However, when the lady began to help me people began pouring into the consulate. She told me she would check to see what was going on and she spoke to the lady who is processing my visa. About 15 to 20 minutes later and some angry Americans who were huffing and puffing at my mother, I got my answer. Oh yeah, did I tell you about the lady who said she had an express ticket and she wanted to be seen now. I diffused that situation. She sat back down and waited. So my answer was that I need to call the INS of Brazil because they had not approved my visa. I tried to ask question and the lady kept saying call the INS. Oh well, I left. I called my contact person and found out that the lady who is supposed to approve my visa is on vacation for a month. I will not find out anything until Aug 24th or later.
Also, my FBI check is going to expire after 90 days because my visa cannot be processed. So I have to have it done again. Can you say I have had like 5 or 6 background checks in the last year? Lastly, I didn't know I could get a certified, original diploma from my college. I gave my original diploma to the Consulate and I will never see it again. My diploma was even signed by Paige Patterson. Needless to say, I was a little sad and frustrated.
The highlight is that I know God is in control and that He never gives me more than I can handle. I will be going to Brazil in His perfect timing! Praise God! Amen!

I am going to the Consulate
On Tuesday, I am going to the Brazilian consulate to find out what is going on with my visa. So pray for me as my mom and I travel to DC and that I can get my visa. I have not been successful in contacting them on the phone. I did not have any other choice than to go see them in person.
