Okay, Okay Lord I get it you don't want me in Brazil yet. You still have things to teach me. I thank-you for teaching me about myself and how you are conforming me into Your likeness. So my mom and I braved the DC traffic again to find out what was going on with my visa at the Brazilian Consulate. I was the third person in line. So I went in at 2pm and I didn't have to wait long to be seen. However, when the lady began to help me people began pouring into the consulate. She told me she would check to see what was going on and she spoke to the lady who is processing my visa. About 15 to 20 minutes later and some angry Americans who were huffing and puffing at my mother, I got my answer. Oh yeah, did I tell you about the lady who said she had an express ticket and she wanted to be seen now. I diffused that situation. She sat back down and waited. So my answer was that I need to call the INS of Brazil because they had not approved my visa. I tried to ask question and the lady kept saying call the INS. Oh well, I left. I called my contact person and found out that the lady who is supposed to approve my visa is on vacation for a month. I will not find out anything until Aug 24th or later.
Also, my FBI check is going to expire after 90 days because my visa cannot be processed. So I have to have it done again. Can you say I have had like 5 or 6 background checks in the last year? Lastly, I didn't know I could get a certified, original diploma from my college. I gave my original diploma to the Consulate and I will never see it again. My diploma was even signed by Paige Patterson. Needless to say, I was a little sad and frustrated.
The highlight is that I know God is in control and that He never gives me more than I can handle. I will be going to Brazil in His perfect timing! Praise God! Amen!
