Praising the Lord
I was not successful in getting a hold of the consulate today. But I am determined to get a hold of them and see if my visa is ready. Lord, You are good and your timing is perfect. You are continually preparing me for what is next in my life. I want You to go before me. Continue to show me your grace and mercy. Lord, continue to give me a desire to serve You with everything I have. You have answered so many of my prayers over the last few months. You have continually grown Your kingdom in our local fellowship. I am so grateful for You wanting to work in the lives of your children. Oh how, I was reminded of what we were without You the children of wrath but how you changed me and every other Christian into being alive in Christ. Amen!

Visa Information and Vacation Bible School
I will be calling the Brazilian consulate tomorrow to find out the status of my visa. Please pray that everything will go smoothly and that I get my visa soon. We also have started VBS this week at my church. Please pray that the children will understand the gospel and that the Lord will draw them unto Himself. I pray that many will receive Him this week. The VBS theme is Paul and the underground church.

The Brazilian Consulate and how God worked
I went to the Brazilian Consulate on Monday. My mom, Stephanie, and I all went to DC. Can you say crazy drivers? Once I went in, I had to pull a ticket. I got a crazy number. I was going have to wait a while. So Stephanie and I started to build a house out of cards. Of course, it didn't work. Oh yeah, did I say it was hot. I guess it was preparation for Brazil. So I started talking to the girl beside me. She had pulled two tickets one for her and one for her friend. She had gotten there early but her friend didn't show up. She gave me her extra ticket. God is so good. I was next after only a 30 minute wait. That was a miracle at the Brazilian Consulate!! Guess what, it gets better. The lady who took my visa was a Baptist and she was so nice. I was just glad I didn't get the other person. He seemed to be having a bad day. He was fussing at other people because they didn't have the proper paperwork or they brought only 130 dollars instead of the required 200 dollars. Wow, what a trip. God is at work and He is so faithful! I have to call the Consulate and find out the status of my visa on Monday. I will keep you posted. Praise God!
